A meeting of Cabinet Sub Committee for implementation of Election Manifesto was held under the Chairmanship of Irrigation and Public Health Minister Ravinder Singh Ravi, here today. Health Minister Dr. Rajeev Bindal and Rural Development Minister Jai Ram Thakur also attended the meeting. Both are member of the committee. In the meeting cases of departments of Technical Education, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Redressal of Public Grievances were reviewed.

Ravinder Singh Ravi claims that most of the promises of the Election Manifesto had been fulfilled. He said that ITI and diploma holders passing out from the institutions of the State were getting 100 percent placements in the industries. He praises governments’ decision for setting up Atal Behari Vajpayee Govt. Engineering and Technology Institute coming up at Pragatinagar and claims that it’ll equip the students of the State with technical expertise matching international standards. He said that nine polytechnics were functioning in government sector as well as 24 polytechnics in private sector besides 81 ITIs in Government sector and 200 in private sector to provide technical education to the youth of the State. He said that the State Government has provided about Rs. 300 crore subsidies during last three years on essential commodities to the consumers of the State.
