The two day’s meeting of BJP’s Himachal Pradesh is being held at Chandigarh. The meeting is convened to bridge the gap between senior leader Chief Minister of the state Prem Kumar Dhumal and MP Shanta Kumar and to find a way to deal with rebel leaders ahead of assembly polls.

Some fireworks are expected in the meeting as apart from representatives of party high command the leaders from warring factions too would be present in the meeting. In Himachal Pradesh, BJP government is dreaming to repeat, but apart from opposition, ruling party is facing stiff opposition from its own party men, some of them senior though had formed a new political outfit, which can hurt its chances to repeat. Now few BJP leaders are openly opposing Prem Kumar Dhumal leadership and had written a letter to party president Nitin Gadkari to replace him with some other leader. All those BJP leaders, who had formed new political outfit and opposing Dhumal leadership, owe loyalty to Shanta Kumar and in this meeting it is speculating that Shanta Kumar and his supporters can raise the issue of bringing rebel BJP leaders back into party.

In a press communique, party said that Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, MP Shanta Kumar, RS MP JP Nadda, Party in-charge Kalraj Mishra, Shyam Jaju, Satpal Jain and many other BJP leaders will attend the meeting.
