Week Long International Minjar Fair Concludes

The famous week long International Minjar Fair of Chamba concluded with much traditional and religious fervor today with concluding ceremonial procession which started from Raj Mahal to the banks of Ravi River to immerse “Minjar” (Golden tassels) in a traditional manner into the river. Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister led the procession.

Tulsi Ram Sharma, Speaker, H.P. Vidhan Sabha, B.K. Chauhan, Renu Chadda, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Surinder Bhardwaj, MLAs, Mohan Lal, former Minister, and other prominent leaders of the district accompanied the Chief Minister in the procession and they were followed by culture troupes, Police and Home guard besides people who participated in the week long fair. Earlier, Chief Minister witnessed wrestling bouts in the historic Chaugan Maidan and distributed prizes to the winners.
