Though there are several state level fairs and festivals in Himachal Pradesh, variety of small district level fairs and festivals also have their own significance. Yor is another famous winter fair of Lahaul Spiti and residents urges authority to declare it as district level fair. Yor Fair of Madgram is only fair which is celebrated in the month of March. Gramin Yuva Sanghathan (GYS) an NGO urged Government of Himachal Pradesh and District Administration to declare Yor festival of Madgram Village district level fairs.
The Villager’s has maintained this age-old tradition and has been hosting the Fair for more than hundred years.

The status of Yor fair has reached to a district level but no efforts has been made by government and District Administration to restore the popularity and status of Yor fair. Over the past few years, the only local villagers and Madgram Thakurs are making efforts to modernize the activities at fair. Yor fair attracts large number of people every year during the month of March.

There is an age old tradition of offering `Yor’ Flowers to ancestor’s by taking individuals name before the commencement of Fair. However there are several customs that are followed to this day before the commencement of the business.

The Yor fair celebrated in Madgram, Lahaul Spiti is held every year in the month of March. Number of tourists and traders gather here during the time. This year the Yor fair is to be organised between 2nd to 4th November.
