Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) has objected municipal corporation step to build a concrete wall in front of its Lalpani cricket academy gate and filled a police complaint against Shimla deputy mayor Tikender Singh Panwar and Shimla Municipal Corporation.

In his complaint, HPCA vice-president Surrender Thakur accused deputy mayor Tikender Panwar in particular for it. He accused that by raising the wall and blocking the public path, Panwar and the municipal corporation has committed a cognizable offense under sections 339 and 340 of the Indian Penal Code.

Thakur has claimed that the action of Municipal Corporation is in conflict with the judgment of Himachal Pradesh high court dated November 5, 2013. He said that court has granted status quo ante to HPCA stands and MC has violated because now the possession granted to the association by the court has become meaningless as the HPCA has indirectly been dispossessed by closing the public path leading to academy.
