Chief Electoral Officer Narinder Chauhan informed that Election Commission of India (ECI) has developed a software application to receive photo/video/audio on the instances of inducement to electoral either through internet facility or through android mobile application.
Chauhan said that with the help of this application, any member of village level awareness group/ward level awareness group/citizen could capture evidence of any corrupt practices through mobile phone/digital camera and send the same online to the Chief Electoral Office website.
Chauhan said that as per the guidelines of ECI, the District Complaint Monitoring Cell would regularly log on to the website and forward such evidences of photo/audio/video received through the website of flying squad (FS) located nearer to the place of the incident. On receiving such information, the squad would reach the spot immediately and gather further evidences to corroborate the complaint. The squad would also record the statement of person involved and submit it to the Complaint Monitoring Cell.
