Palampur: Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Brij Behari Lal Butail met government officers and municipal councillors and reviewed the development activities in the Palampur constituency. He advised officers to take up development projects of the region on priority.

Later speaking to the press, Butail said a multi-storey parking complex of Rs 12 crore would soon come up at Palampur under the private-public partnership mode.

He revealed the state Urban Development Department had already signed an MoU with a private company and the letter of intent would be issued soon.

Butail said six kanals of land would be transferred to the company by the local municipal council so that construction could be started. The project will be five storeys and three storeys would be utilised for parking and two would house a commercial complex.

Speaker believed that this project would end parking problems in the town.
