The HelpAge India has awarded Gold Plate Award to SJVN Limited for its contribution in providing free medical care to the unprivileged sections of the society.

The award was presented by Lise Grande, UN Resident Co-coordinator UNDP, at India Habitat Center, New Delhi to Bijay Prasad, Addl. GM (HR), K L Vashishta, Dy. GM (HR) and Awadhesh Prasad, Sr. Manager (CSR) of SJVN.

SJVN through mobile health vans (MHV) has provided free medical consultancy and medicines to more than 1.5 Lac needy persons and provided health care services through specialized health camps to more than 25,000 persons in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Bihar and Maharashtra under its Corporate Social Responsibility Policy.

The SJVN is operating 12 mobile Health Vans in the areas around its projects.

SJVN has also organized 30 specialized Health Camps during last Financial Year, while 40 specialized Health Camps are being organized during current Financial Year.
