Transport Minister G.S. Bali inaugurated online e-payment of commercial vehicles of Himachal Pradesh from Shimla.
Bali said that the vehicles owners had to come to the office of RTO’s and R&Las to pay these taxes, but with online service the vehicle owners can now make e-payment of their commercial vehicles (24×7) from the website of Himachal Pradesh Department of Transport
Transport Minister said the vehicle owners now can make payment at any time from anywhere through internet banking and Debit Card Services. For availing this facility, all the offices of RTOs and R&LAs have been connected by Transport Department through National Informatics Centre VPNOBB.
The information relating to vehicle registration and driving license is available on respective State and National Register respectively. The same can be varied online.
Additional Chief Secretary Transport Ajay Mittal, Commissioner Transport Dr. R.N. Batta, State Informatic Officer NIC Ajay Chahal were also present on the occasion.
