Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal formally launched the Unique Identity Project (UID) in commemoration of the 41st State Level Statehood Day celebration at Hamirpur, thereby emerging the First State to start Aadhaar Enrolments and issuance of Aadhaar Numbers in the region. UID will be 12 digit unique numbers, which would be made available to all residents and it will conclude within year duration.
