Petrol prices are rising by the day and everyone looking for solutions to have vehicles that give them most on mileage and least on the fuel consumption. Understanding the need internationally renowned Volkswagen has launched the XL1 – world’s most economical car that can travel for about 500km on a gallon or 3.5 liters of diesel, emitting only 38g of carbon dioxide per 1.6km or so. Powered by an 800cc TDI two-cylinder diesel engine connected to an electric motor, the two-seater XL1 is built in carbon fibre reinforced polymer exterior. Due to go on sale in 2013, the Volkswagen XL1 is a great car for the green enthusiast.
