Understanding the need internationally renowned Volkswagen has launched the XL1 – world’s most economical car that can travel for about 500km on a gallon or 3.5 liters of diesel, emitting only 38g of carbon dioxide per 1.6km or so. Powered by an 800cc TDI two-cylinder diesel engine connected to an electric motor, the two-seater XL1 is built in carbon fibre reinforced polymer exterior. Due to go on sale in 2013, the Volkswagen XL1 is a great car for the green enthusiast.
