The state government has sanctioned Rupees 16 crore for the widening of 30 kilometers long Gumma-Baghi road and Mashobra-Bhekalti road. Funds for these roads will be channelled through the Central Road Fund. Horticulture Minister Narinder Bragta said that Rs. 10.09 crore have been allotted for the Gumma-Baghi road, whereas Rs. 6 crore will be spent on the Mashobra-Bhekalti road. Both these roads can be boom for the apple growers, if they get finished in time. These roads provide easy and direct access to the newly inaugurated biggest fruit Mandi coming up at Parala. Growers from Jubbal, Kotkhai, Rampur, Kumarsain, Kotgarh and Kinnaur regions will gain much from the new road.
