In a shocking incident national-level female Kabaddi player Manisha Kumari shot dead by the CRPF Jawan, who was posted at the stadium to protect the players. Manisha Kumari was belonged from the Chirgaon of Shimla District. She played for the Railways and was coming back from the practise at Patna’s Moin-ul-Haq stadium. It’s reported that CRPF Jawan Jaswant Singh followed her after her practise and demanded for her mobile number, but she refused and in a an inebriated state, he fired around seventeen rounds from his AK-47 and later shoot himself. Manisha Kumari brought dead at hospital, whereas shooter is admitted to the Patna Medical College and Hospital and his condition is also learned critical.

Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal expressed grief over the killing of Manisha Kumari and said that Nation has lost a talented sportsperson. Recently on 25th January Chief Minister has honored her with a prize for her contribution for the sports.
