Celebrations at the famous Baijnath Shiv Temple located in Kangara district, Himachal Pradesh, started today on the occasion of Shivratri. Large crowds mustered to seek blessings at this holy place which will witness a five a day state carnival. Even the rain was unable to dampen worshipper’s spirits who were seen queuing up outside the temple even at odd hours. Constructed in 1204 A.D. it has ever since been worshiped and holds utmost importance. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal was supposed to visit the temple but his visit was cancelled due to reasons unknown.
