Two RSS leaders Indresh Kumar and former RSS ideologue Govindacharaya who were guests of the Tibetan government in Dharamsala, were not permitted to meet Dalai Lama. The sources and security agencies reported that the RSS leaders were not allowed to meet Dalai Lama because they had not sought prior permission, which is mandatory in order to meet Dalai Lama. The leaders informed that they came to Dharamsala in order to invite Dalai Lama for a function to be organised at Sarnath from October 29 to November 6, to commemorate 2,600 years of the enlightenment of Lord Buddha.

When asked about the govt.’s stand on the land allotments to Tibetans in the state, Indresh Kumar said, ‘the state government should act on it as per the directions of the Union Government.’
