Five youths died in three different accidents on National Highway 21 in Sundernagar of Distt Mandi in past twenty four hours interestingly the drivers of all three vehicles involved in accident ran away (in two cases along with vehicles) from the spots and couldn’t be arrested so far. In the first incident two youths were killed both were students of a Abilashi Engineering college and were going to Near Chowk from Sundernagar on a bike around 11P.M and both were run over by an unidentified vehicle at Naulakha near Sundernagar . Both the victims were identified as Ankit and Himashu (both 19 years and residents of Distt Kangra). In the second incident Niranjana (17) Tamil Nadu was killed when a speeding truck hit the Volvo bus in which the deceased was traveling , which was on the way to Manali, at Kangoo about 16 KM from Sundernagar around 4 A.M today . The truck didn’t stop on spot.

In the third incident which occurred around 10AM today At Slapper about 20 KM from Sundernagar a truck hit the bike and killed both the youths who were on the bike, the driver of vehicle ran away on spot after leaving the truck on spot. Both the deceased were student of M.L.S.M college and were identified as Pankaj (22) Mandi Distt and Amit Kumar (21) Una.

The Distt administration has sanction 10000/- as interim relief to the family of deceased.
According to Dy.S.P Sundernagar R.K Chandel in all the three cases the cases have been registred and parties to nab the drivers have been sent and soon the drivers would be arrested.
