Managing Director, HPTDC Vineet Kumar informed that Corporation has introduces seven special packages to attract more tourists during the presents season. These Packages are
1. Shimla-Fagu-Chail-Shimla (3 nights 4 days.)
2. Shimla Sojourn (2 nights 3 days)
3. Manali Rendezvous (2 nights 3 days & 3 nights 4 days)
4. Delhi-Dharamsala-Delhi(3 nights 4 days)
5. Devi Darshan(Chandigarh-Chintpurni-Jawalaji-Kangra-Chamundaji-Dharamsala-
Chandigarh 3 nights 4 days)
6. Painters Delight Circuit Package (Naggar-Manali-Naggar 2 nights 3 days)
7. Painters Delight Circuit Package (Delhi-Dharamsala-Delhi 3 nights 4 days)
The Managing Director further said that these packages are very much in demand by the tourists and will be operated till 14th September, 2011. The Corporation had also floated packages for Prime Period i.e. from 1st April to 30th June, 2011 which were liked and appreciated by the tourists. These are combi packages and include local transport and activities such as rafting, paragliding, walking etc. in built into it. The guests will be charged one consolidated amount and they can enjoy the stay, food, sightseeing, activities, local transport without any hassles and extra cost.
The MD further added that these packages have been made flexible on the request and requirement of the guests. In case, they wishes to avail additional days or wishes to reduce the days in the above packages the same may be calculated and redraft accordingly. If the guest require the package for other destinations, the same can be prepared on the spot. The taxi/buses will be arranged by the concerned hotels from where sightseeing tours are to be conducted whereas the taxi for Devi Darshan package will be arranged by the Marketing Office, Chandigarh.
Such combi packages have been introduced for the first time by HPTDC. Earlier, the corporation used to float packages, which included only boarding and lodging.
The Managing Director reiterated that the reservation can be made by paying 100% charges of the package. Accommodation will be provided for 2 Persons and 4 Persons on twin sharing basis whereas package for 3 Persons will be provided on triple sharing basis. One cab will be provided for 2 Persons package, 3 Persons package and 4 Persons package. Vegetarian food will be served.
