Rs 1.58L looted from 3 Kullu apple traders at Chandigarh

In another incident of robbery on knifepoint is accrued in Chandigarh. This time three apple merchants from Kullu were looted near Sector 38. Incident happened when unidentified persons attacked Gobind Singh, Ram Singh and Gopal Singh and robbed them of Rs 1.58 lakh. Gobind Singh was injured in the incident and has been admitted to GMH, Sector 16. His condition stated to be stable.

In the police statement, the merchants had hired an auto rickshaw from Grain Market, Sector 26, for ISBT-43 at around 11:45 pm. There were three persons, including the auto driver, were seating in the auto rickshaw and instead of taking the merchants to ISBT-43, the auto driver turned his vehicle towards Maloya village near Sector 39. Auto driver stopped vehicle near Sector 39 and subsequently drag them out of the vehicle. Then looters thrashed merchants and looted the money from them. A case of robbery has been registered; however criminals are still at large.
