Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said that the State Government is committed to the uniform and balanced development by rising above all considerations and added attention is being given towards the areas which had remained under developed. Chief Minister said it in the meeting with MLA Sujan Singh Pathania. He asked the authorities to get a detailed project report prepared to explore possibilities of channelising River Beas downstream the Pong Dam on the analogy of Swan River and other including setting up of ICU and Trauma Centres in Civil Hospital Nurpur.

Sujan Singh Pathania urged the Chief Minister to get a detailed project report prepared to channelise the River Beas. Referring to the problems being faced by the farmers and pointed out by Pathania in poly house, Chief Minister directed the scientists from the University to solve the problems of farmers.

Pathania requested the Chief Minister to put a complete ban on the commercial and unscientific mining in the Chakki Khad on the inter-state boundary which had damaged not only the ecology and Chakki bridge but roads as well. He urged the Chief Minister to allow local people mine for getting sand for domestic purposes. He also requested to take over maintenance of tubewells bored in his segment Jwali by the Agriculture Department by the Irrigation and Public Health Department so that better irrigation facilities were available to them.
