State government gave ultimatum to the Longjian Road Construction Chinese Company to give results on a weekly basis or else pack up as there has already been an inordinate delay in the completion of the Theog-Hatkoti-Rohru road.

The company has been placed under notice where it has been asked to show weekly progress and fulfil the commitment on a weekly basis or else face the inevitable cancellation of the World Bank-funded road project worth Rs 354 crore. Ajay Mittal, Principal Secretary, PWD, visited the work site along with senior officers of the department to see the progress of various components. Work on the Mehatpur-Amb-Una and Theog-Kotkhai-Hatkoti-Rohru roads worth Rs 354 crore, being executed by the Chinese company, has been delayed despite giving extension to the company on more than one occasion.
