The Himachal Pradesh High Court directed the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to complete the processing of case pertaining to suspended IAS officer Sanjay Gupta, within two weeks and to pass final orders within another three weeks. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice Sanjay Karol passed this order while hearing the petition of Drug Controller Sher Singh.

The court also asked the state government to produce the entire record of the trap case involving HAS officer Mohan Lal Mehta, including FIR registered by the State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau, Hamirpur and the proceedings of arrest and bail before it on November 8, the next date of hearing.
