Drug control authorities cancelled the manufacturing licence of Baddi-based Ten Star Pharmaceuticals for violating the Drug and Cosmetics Act. Earlier, Officials had confiscated spurious medicines in bulk from the unit after the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) found that banned and psychotropic drugs were being manufactured on Ten Star premises.

Drug controller Navneet Marwaha said though a show-cause notice was served to the unit to explain its conduct, its reply was found unsatisfactory and, therefore, its licence had been cancelled.
