Anti-corruption team led by DSP Virender Kalia has raided a private house in Kochhari near Jeori in Distt Shimla and seized sanders wood worth several crores of rupees. The counting and weighing of the seized sanders wood is underway to confirm the total estimate of the contraband. Four people have been arrested from the scene, with these logs that measure 4 to 8 feet long and about 40 inches thick. It is believed that these logs have been smuggled from South India to be peddled across to China.
