Shimla district MLAs demanded better roads in district

During the consultation meeting with the MLAs for fixing the priorities, MLA Rampur, Nand Lal, emphasis on the of mechanism for time bound preparation of DPRs early execution of road projects which had been granted forest clearances. He urged for connecting Pandrah-Beesh area with motorable road, re-modelling of drinking water supply schemes and a market yard for the area.

Khushi Ram Balnahta, MLA, Rohru urged for completion of Rohal road and time bound preparation of MLA priority roads. He also urged early construction of Bus Stand at Rohru, re-location of Subzi Mandi. He thanked for speeding up work on Theog-Hatkoti road. He urged for additional funds for B.Bharma College and Seema Degree College auditorium. He stressed for complete check on unscientific mining in Pabbar River.

Dr. Subhash Manglate, MLA, Chopal wanted snow cutter for snow bound areas and replacement of old machinery with new ones, speeding up work on Kupvi-Dahia road, Bus stand at Nerva and Kupvi.

Rakesh Verma, MLA, Theog, complemented for winning record National Level Awards for the State. He urged for allotment of IPH projects exclusively for one contractor, review school upgradation norms. He thanked Chief Minister for Modern Marketing Yard at Parala.

Suresh Bhardwaj, MLA, Shimla wanted creation of Capital Fund for development of Shimla town, construction of more parking slots, tunnels in the town, long term planning for construction of drinking water supply scheme from river Satluj. He suggested development of Craignano for tourism purposes, explore possibilities of construction of mono-rail as alternate mode of transportation.

Sohan Lal, MLA, Kasumpti, thanked Chief Minister for sanctioning 17 road projects. He urged construction of general and zonal hospital in rural Shimla, sewerage for Shoghi and Ghanahatti towns and development of tourist spots in the segment. Vidya Stokes, MLA, Kumersain wanted advance preparedness to meet challenges posed by heavy snowfall, check monkey menace, deployment of trained pump operators, school teachers.
