The cooking cost of Mid Day Meal in all Government and its aided schools in State has been raised for financial year 2012-13 with effect from 1st April, 2012. A spokesman of the Elementary Education Department said here today that daily cooking cost per student upto primary level i.e. class 1st to 5th had been raised to Rs. 3.11 from Rs. 2.89 and Rs. 4.65 from Rs. 4.33 upto Middle level i.e. class 6th to 8th.
