The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has caught an Executive Engineer (XEN) and a head draughtsman of the Uhal (stage III) hydropower project while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a contractor for awarding a tender for a road at the project site in Jogindernagar.

Vigilance team, headed by ASP, Vigilance, Central Range, Anirudh Chaudhary, laid a trap after they received a complaint from the contractor. The team caught the duo taking the bribe in their office at the project site. Accused has been arrested under Sections 7 and 13/2 of the Prevention of Corruption Act and Section 120 (8) of the IPC.
