Bilaspur Congress demands to relocate proposed Polytechnic College near city

The Sadar Congress Committee have strongly opposed the decision of the state government to start Central government-financed Government Polytechnic College at a far-flung area of Kalol that is near the border of Chief Minister’s home district.

The Protest was led by Bilaspur Sadar Congress constituency president Col AP Gauttam (retd) and demanded to change the location of this college to Bilaspur town. Protesters alleged that if any project is awarded to Bilaspur District it should be located at a place where it gives maximum benefits. They said that Kalol is about 90km far from Bilaspur and even lacked basic infrastructure and it will also not benefits Bilaspur district. Congress workers alleged that Govt is trying to play politics with the development related activities in district and not interested to give benefits for Bilaspur district.
