Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal dedicated the Sub Divisional Office (Civil) at Sangrah in Sirmaur district today.

While addressing the public, Chief Minister said that State Government had launched various schemes for the welfare of all sections of the Society and by decentralizing the powers efforts had been made to benefit the targeted sections of the society through various developmental schemes. He said that participation of women had been ensured in the development of the State by involving them in the process of development.

Prof. Dhumal said that State Government had decided to increase the Samman Rishi of Nambardars besides bringing small traders under insurance cover scheme of Rs. one lakh. He said that there were 50,000 small traders who would get benefit of this scheme. He called upon people to come forward in curbing the female foeticide so that sex ratio could be improved. He said that under Beti Hai Anmol Yojna Rs. 10,000 was being deposited in banks in the name of the girl child. He said that 33 percent reservation was being given to the women in cooperatives to ensure their participation.

Chief Minister said that the State Government was ensuring overall development rising above the political considerations. He said that free ambulance service was being provided to the people under Atal Swasthya Yojna and the facility of free institutional delivery of women was being done in all the government health institutions of the State.

He said that a sum of Rs. 150 crore annually was being spent on subsidy being provided on essential edible commodities. Apart from this, subsidy on domestic electricity was being given to the people. He said that there was no such family in the State which had not availed the benefits of these schemes.

Prof. Dhumal facilitating the people of the area for fulfilment of their long pending demand of SDM office said that all basic facilities would now be available to them at their door steps which would save their time as well as money.

Earlier, MLA Shri Hirdaya Ram Chauhan welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for dedicating SDM office to the people of the area.

Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Chander Mohan Thakur, Chairman, State Cooperative Bank, Balbir Singh Chauhan, Vice Chairman, SC/ST Corporation, Dr. Arun Sharma, Director, Tourism, Padam Singh Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner and senior officers were also present on the occasion.
