Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Ramesh Dhawala said that Health Department is implementing Food Security Act in the State according to the guidelines laid down by the Central Government.

Dhawala said that Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department was charging Rs 1,000 as Security and Rs 200 as Annual Renewal Fee from the Fair Price Shops and there had been no increase in these charges.

The Minister said that a license fee of Rs 100 was being charged from the traders dealing in food items whose Annual turnover is upto Rs 12 lakh. Similarly, the traders whose annual business turnover exceeds Rs 12 lakh are being charged Rs 2,000 as license fee.
