The failure of water samples in the purity test which were taken from Government High School, Patnon, after at least 24 schoolchildren suffering from gastroenteritis were admitted to Toani Devi Civil Hospital a few days ago has put a question mark on the quality of drinking water in the school.

Medical Officer, Health, Hamirpur, PK Katwal has confirmed that the water samples taken from the Patnon School had failed as all three samples, taken from water tanks supplying drinking water to students – one from the primary school and two from the high school, had been found highly vulnerable in the test.
