The rich crop of the Dewat, Matal and Makrog panchayats of Chopal Constituency is being adversely affected by bad road condition, leaving the residents helpless and frustrated. Jhiknipul Bamta road, which is a lifeline of these panchayats is in a very bad shape. Here, the distance between Jhiknipul and Bamta is only 15 km, but it’s taking over 2 hours for people to drive through this area, which is frustrating for the public, who are finding it hard to cater to their domestic and other essential needs. Its only in 1989 when this road till Bhabar was opened to traffic and it was in 2000 when it was extended to the Bamta. This road is now full of pit holes and it is becoming very risky to drive on it.
