It was brought to the notice of the Cabinet, which met here under the Chairmanship of Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, today that various Heads of the Departments and other officers of different departments have been making commitments, in the matter having financial implications, in the Courts of Law and issue letters or orders at their own level without consulting the Finance Department.
It has been decided that in future any officer making such commitment or issuing letters/orders at his own, will be held personally responsible and accountable for the financial loss occurring thereof.
