Joginder Singh Verma, Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Welfare Board said that ambitious Scheme ‘Shram Ko Samman” has been approved for the welfare of registered workers and smooth working of Board. He was presiding over a meeting of the Board here today. He said that Board had decided to register one lakh workers and also to collect Rs. 300 crore as cess for which offices at district level would be established.

Joginder Singh Verma said that Board would appoint staff either on secondment basis or through outsourcing so as to strengthen the functioning of the Board at district level. The Board has also approved its Logo. It has also approved to send a proposal to the State Government for recruitment of staff in the head office on contract or regular basis.

A.C. Dogra, Principal Secretary, Law, Mohan Chauhan, Labour Commissioner, Ranbir Sipahiya, Chief Executive Officer-cum- Secretary of the Board and Gobind Rai, Assistant Controller, Finance and Accounts of the Board and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
