Chopal MLA Dr. Subhash Manglate today hold a meeting with Congress party workers at Ghodna of Theog tehsil. Party workers from 11 panchayat of Balson region were present at the meeting. Party workers termed it as a ‘Cadre booster meeting’ and claimed it successful. In the meeting, it was decided that party office bearer will visit all panchayat of Balson region and will try to consolidate the party base for the forthcoming assembly election. Balson is a home turf and considered as a stronghold of Rakesh Verma as in the last four assembly election Verma had got overwhelming support from here.
Earlier, Balson region was the part of Theog Assembly and after delimitation it is merged with Chopal segment. Dr. Subhash Manglate, who started as an independent candidate from Chopal in 2003 election, has won last assembly election on Congress ticket and now to woo the voters of newly inducted 11 panchayats of Balson region, he is frequently visiting and holding small meetings.
