Chopal MLA faced opposition in his own constituency

Chopal MLA Subhash Manglate faced opposition in his own constituency, when other party leaders and workers protested against his arrival at Chopal city. Subhash Manglate was in Chopal with Congress observation team and prior to Chopal City, he chosen Nerwa to host them. At Nerwa, one congress leader Kehar Singh Kachhi even projected Subahsh Manglate as a coming minister of State. However it didn’t go well with the other section of the Chopal Congress leaders and questioned Kehar Singh Kachhi’s presence with the observation team and asked for his status in the party as well. Chopal leaders also demanded his clarification on the issue. But when observation team arrived at Chopal with Subhash Manglate, party workers shouted slogan against him and asked him to leave city as soon as possible.

Agitated workers alleged that Subhash Manglate has not visited Chopal after 2007 election and haven’t done anything for the region. They alleged that he forgets his duty and now as election is coming, he is showing his face. Workers from Moraog region also boycott Manglate and urged party high command to award ticket to competent person. PCC member Rajneesh Kimta and staunch rival of Subhash Manglate in Chopal advised him to work for the people and should leave the politics of opportunity. Kimta accused MLA for the present condition of Chopal, where all Govt schools are facing shortage of teaching staff and patients are ruing for the Doctors in the Hospitals’. He said that in the last nine years, development of Chopal Segment has been derailed. Condition of roads is worse, which is hindering the development of the region. He alleged that, Manglate is trying to hide his incompetence, by saying that he is in opposition and Govt is not permitting him to execute developmental activities in the region. He questioned his integrity and potential as an MLA and asked clarification over MLA funds, which is the prerogative of MLA and can spend on his will for his constituency. Rajneesh Kimta with his supporters urged observer to see the real picture and appealed them to apprise the party high command with the real picture.
