The 13th meeting of H.P. Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board was held here under the Chairmanship of Joginder Singh Verma, Chairman of the Board. Joginder Singh expressed his gratitude towards the Chief Minister for opening of Labour Welfare Offices at District level and creation of posts of Labour Welfare Officers, Superintendent-cum- Office Manager, Motivator-cum- Registration Assistant/Computer Operator, Benefit Delivery Assistant/Data Entry Operator, Peon, Chowkidar, Sweeper in each district. He also directed the concerned Labour Officers to ensure registration of maximum number of workers under the Board so that they could be benefitted through the welfare schemes being implemented by the Board.

It was decided in the meeting to fill up the posts through outsourcing if the applications for the various posts were not received on secondment basis. The Board also decided that the Labour Officers would oversee the functioning of the district level Offices until the recruitment of Labour Welfare Officers and other staff was not done.

Ranbir Sepahiya, Secretary of the Board welcomed the Chairman and other Governmental and Non-Governmental Members of the Board. Among others, Mohan Chauhan, Labour Commissioner, B.S. Thakur, Additional Director, Social Justice and Empowerment Department and Members of various Workers Associations attended the meeting.
