Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said that a bridge on Giri river for Dublu-Shergaon would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.25 crore on priority basis for providing connectivity between Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts. He was addressing a public meeting after dedicating six kilometre long Dublu-Lakhoti link road, Government Senior Secondary School building constructed at a cost of Rs. one crore and lift drinking water supply scheme constructed at a cost of Rs. 65 lakh at Dublu and Balog village. Earlier, he performed the foundation stone laying ceremony of additional block of Government Senior Secondary School at Janedghat to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh.

Chief Minister said that road construction was the top priority of the State Government. He said that Government was committed to connect every village of the State with roads. He said that road connectivity to Dublu area was provided during BJP regime and with the construction of bridge on Giri river this area would be connected with Sirmaur and Solan districts. He said that Government was also exploring the possibilities of constructing tunnels in various parts of the State. He said that a tourist information centre at a cost of Rs. 10 lakh would be opened at Janedghat near Chail.

Prof. Dhumal accused the UPA Government of discriminating with the State and said that Central Government was not providing Himachal Pradesh its legitimate right which amounts to Rs. 4000 crore in BBMB hydel projects despite verdict of Hon’ble Supreme Court in this direction. He said that UPA Government was curtailing the quota of rice, sugar, kerosene oil and LPG of the State which was unfortunate. He said that UPA Government had withdrawn the special industrial package before its due term which was provided by the then NDA Government for ten years. He said that it had affected the industrial growth in the State. He said that UPA Government had also imposed ban on loan limit of the State, which had also affected the pace of development.

Chief Minister accused the Delhi Congress Government for re-imposing six percent commission on produce of the fruit growers of the State in Delhi markets. He said that this commission was abolished during the regime of Dr. Sahib Singh Verma, the then Chief Minister of Delhi. State Government has accelerated the pace of development as a result of which State had got 69 awards of national and international repute. He said that State had also stood first in implementation of 20 point programme for last three years consecutively and State had also got Prime Minister Award for environment conservation. He appealed to the people to give support to State Government for implementing the policies and programmes effectively. He said that Lift Irrigation Scheme would be constructed in Dublu and Rakhoti area to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers.

Horticulture and Health Minister Narinder Bragta said that every section of the society had been benefited from the policies and programmes of the State Government during last four and a half years. He said that State Government had implemented ambitious schemes worth Rs. 1500 crore for strengthening the economy of the farmers and fruit growers.

Virender Kashyap, MP thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating developmental schemes worth Rs. eight crore in Kasumpti segment during his one day visit. He also apprised the Chief Minister of various local demands. Roopa Sharma, State Vice President, BJP, Prem Thakur, President, BJP Mandal, Santosh Gandharv, Pradhan local Panchayat also spoke on the occasion.

State Cooperative Bank, Roop Dass Kashyap, former Minister, Gian Chandel, Chairman, APMC, Veena Thakur, Chairperson, Social Welfare Board, Kamal Thakur, President, District Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha, and other prominent persons were also present on the occasion.
