State Govt fails to implement Flagship Programmes of UPA Govt: Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress

A meeting of Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress was held at Rajiv Bhawan on 30th August 2012 under the Chairmanship of Ram Nath Sharma Chairman State Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress Himachal Pradesh. Ram Nath Sharma stated that the State BJP Govt. has failed to implement Flagship Programmes launched by Congress led UPA Govt. in Centre for the upliftment of farmers, Khet Mazdoor in the state, like MNREGA was basically launched to improve the condition of poor farmer but State BJP Govt. has not been able to spend the full budget allocated for this purpose in the state.

Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress also strongly protest acquisition of fertile land in establishing cement based industries rather purpose opening Agro processing units, apple processing units and vegetable, potato, mango & tomato based industries in the state which will be environment friendly and also generate employment to the unemployed youth and Khet Mazdoor. Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress assured that when Congress will come in power we assure opening of Sabzi Mandi, Fruit Mandi at Block level so that the transportation hurdle which is very common during harvesting season of the agriculture produce as is seen now a days in rainy season is very much solved and Kisan & Khet Mazdoor get optimum price and employment at their footsteps.

Heer Singh Thakur and Nokh Ram attended the meeting.
