Angered Senior Congress leader Virbhadra Singh skipped party manifesto committee meeting, which was convened to discuss the issues to be raised during the campaign for the forthcoming assembly poll. Singh is camping along with his loyalists at capital in an apparent bid to put pressure on the party high command ahead of selection of candidates.

Sources close to the senior Congress leader claimed 12 out of 23 Congress MLAs and many ex-MLAs, MPs and members of state party’s wings are camping in the national capital to express solidarity with Singh. There had been reports of Virbhadra Singh being in touch with NCP of Sharad Pawar. Party high-command including Congress president Sonia Gandhi is trying hard to placate senior leader and from last three days they are continuously holding meeting with him.
