Public works Minister Thakur Gulab Singh said today that for ensuring smooth functioning of the Department, the State Government had promoted 40 Surveyors as Junior Engineers. This has removed stagnation in the category.
Thakur Gulab Singh said that with the promotion of these Surveyors, the vacant posts of Junior Engineers had been filled up in the Department. He said that these Engineers were being posted in different parts of the State against the vacancies. He said that this would help in expediting construction and maintenance of roads in the State.
Public Works Minister said that all the promoted officers had been advised to join their duties immediately. He said that State Government under the leadership of Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister was according priority for road construction in the State.
