BJP criticises Balnatah’s outburst against CM

BJP State Vice-President Chander Mohan Thakur criticised the recent outburst of BJP Rohru MLA Khushi Ram Balnatah against Chief Minister and said that his outburst shows his frustration. He added that Rohru MLA is finding himself aloof in the party.

In a statement from Shimla, Chander Mohan Thakur takes a quip at Balnatah and claimed that the BJP government has done in Rohru constituency what even Virbhadra Singh could not, but this cannot be felt by a daily stroll at the Mall Road Shimla but by visiting his area and being with his people who elected him.

Thakur added that after reservation of his constituencies for the schedule caste candidates, Balnatah cannot contest from Rohru and therefore he has lost all interest with his constituency and even he has hardly attended any Rohru BJP Mandal meeting there.

It was an accident of fate and circumstances that the Himachal BJP and the Chief Minister put in their very best to ensure the victory of BJP candidate in the byelection from Rohru three years back. If it was his individual victory, as he claims, why Balnatah could not win from this very constituency from where he had contested four times earlier, he asked.

BJP leader Chander Mohan stated that whatever development in Rohru has taken place during the Dhumal government, it is on the initiative of the Chief Minister and individual ministers on the demand of the people of the area who had been meeting them with their demands.

Chander Mohan challenged Balnataha to declare how many days he spent in his constituency during the last three years and how many letters did he write to various ministers putting in the development demands of the people. Chander Mohan added that Balnatah was trying to paint himself as a martyr without a public cause. He is just trying to ditch his mother organization to seek political asylum elsewhere and that is why he is coming out with irrational and unfounded allegations.

Chander Mohan advised Balnatah not to beat about the bush and asked him to display grace in his conduct if he wishes to leave the BJP and try his luck elsewhere.
