CM releases first issue of Administrative Journal

Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal released the First Edition of bi-annual official Administrative Journal of Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) ‘Administrative Development’, an apex administrative training institute in the State, here today. Shri Dinesh Malhotra, Director, HIPA is the Chief Editor of the Journal.

Chief Minister congratulated Director, HIPA and entire administration for coming out with the much awaited Journal of its own which would provide effective administrative guidance to the serving and trainee officials of the State. He said that HIPA had been equipping the officials of different cadres with professional knowledge besides acquainting them of the rules and regulations applicable in different departments of the State. He said that the Journal would provide a platform to the regular and guest faculty to share their experiences with the trainees as also invite participation from different categories of employees to take benefit of the articles published in the journal. He lauded the efforts of HIPA and advised for inclusion of articles on different administrative aspects in the journal to update the administrative knowledge of the trainee and serving administrators.

S. Roy, Chief Secretary was also present on the occasion. Dinesh Malhotra, Director, HIPA, thanked the Chief Minister for releasing the official journal of the Institute and said that best and latest trends in administration would be given preference for publication in the journal. He said that the entire teaching and non-teaching faculty of the Institute would be working in close co-ordination to maintain the standard of the journal at National level.

P.C. Dhiman, Principal Secretary, Home, R.S. Gupta, Principal Private Secretary to the Chief Minister, teaching and non-teaching faculty of HIPA were present on the occasion.
