GS Bali files his nomination from Nagrota Bagwan on Congress ticket. A huge numbers of his supporters gathered at Gandhi ground, Nagrota Bagwan and accompanied him for the nomination. GS Bali has first entered in Vidhan Sabha in 1998 and again in 2003 he won with thumping majority and thus rewarded with the Cabinet Ministry post of Transport. He again won in 2007 assembly election.
