School demands judicial inquiry into girls’ death

Breaking its silence over the tragic incident in which two class-VI students lost their lives the management of the Convent and Jesus and Mary has demanded a judicial inquiry into the matter.

The Principal of the school, Sahima Josh, and the Provincial Councillor, Sister Janet, said here today that the inquiry should also cover the mob violence, apparently provoked by a particular party, during which damage was caused to the school building.

Management assured all possible support to investigating agencies. They said the class teacher concerned would be on leave till the completion of investigations.
