HPCC chief and former state Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh filed nominations from Shimla (Rural) seat. While filling nomination, in his affidavit Virbhadra Singh declared that he and his family possess moveable and immovable assets worth over Rs 30 crore. Deposits, jewellery and other moveable assets of Singh and his wife Pratibha, a former MP, are valued at Rs 8.26 crore and Rs 4.87 crore respectively.

As per an affidavit submitted by the Virbhadra Singh while filing nomination for November 4 Assembly poll in the state, the value of moveable and immovable properties in his name is nearly Rs 18.78 crore.

In his affidavitm, Singh has taken a loan of Rs 4,02,720 from the Vidhan Sabha. The state Congress head had got an insurance cover of Rs 1.5 crore and his spouse of over Rs 2 crore.
