For the protection of electronic voting machines, in which the fate of new Govt. of Himachal Pradesh is locked, an estimated four crores will be spend over the period of 45 days. This extra expense of thirteen companies of ITBP, who have been appointed for 24X7 surveillance of the protection of 7253 EVM’s kept safe in a strong room, will be borne by the newly appointed Govt. These ITBP special task force personnel will monitor the EVM till 20 December when final vote counting will be done.

The supporting staff is divided into three sections comprising of 70 soldiers to make sure there is no unwanted breach, be it day or night. The total expense of one batch of these soldiers for a month is calculated to be at least 80 lakhs, which means that the total expense for 13 companies for 45 days will be around 3 Crore 90 lakhs, which will be paid by the appointed government after the ITBP produces the bill for the same.
