Despite Paras Dogra fighting century, Himachal Pradesh cricket team lost an important match to weak looking Tripura at its home ground Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium, Nadaun. In the forth inning Himachal team bundled out for just 189. Paras Dogra made impressive 105 in 172 balls which comprised 19 boundaries. Apart from Dogra, no other batsman could mange to cross beyond 30. Even three of its top order batsmen including imported opener Aakash Chopra could not even reached to double digits.

In the forth inning Himachal team were chasing 359 runs for an unlikely victory. Though at one point lame draw was speculating, but bad short selection by its batsmen, team lost important points to the visitors.

In the first inning, Himachal team conceded unsealing 181 runs lead and despite Vikramjeet Malik’s impressive figures of 5/36 in the second inning of Tripura, Himachal team got daunting task of 359 runs in the forth inning. However Hiamchal team all out in just 59.6 overs. Tripura got six points for the win and there was nothing in store for Himachal Pradesh.

This win is also a rare achievement for Tripura team as it registered seventh outright victory in the Ranji Trophy.
