Dharamsala ODI

Ian Bell’s fantastic and flawless century guided England to a consolation victory in the fifth and final ODI against India at Dharamsala. Indian team have wrest the series at Mohali with 3-2. Ian Bell wan named the man of the match for his super afford with bat, whereas Suresh Raina gets the Man of the Series award.

Earlier today England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and elected to field first and his decision proved right when England bowlers chipped 5 important wickets on just 79 in 21.1 overs of the game. However after that Indian batsmen Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja shown some resistance on wicket and added important 78 runs between them for the sixth wicket. Raina made fighting 83 and later in the inning Bhuvneshwar Kumar added quick 31 runs and helped India to reach 226. England bowlers Tim Bresnan stuck 4, whereas Steven Finn and James Tredwell shared two each.

In response to 227, England respond well and added 53 runs for the first wicket, however after captain depart, former captain Kevin Pietersen fell to the prey to seam bowler Shami Ahmed, but after that England batsmen played sensibly and chased the target in 47.2 overs.

Though Indian team lost match at Dharamsala ground, which was its first international Match, but cricket fans, who thrown to the picturesque hill station from all parts of the Himachal and neighboring state, enjoyed the match and become witness of the historic movement of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh also joined the cricket fans at Cricket stadium Dharamshala as Chief Guest and also gave the prizes to the players.
