Govt constitutes committee to examine relevant aspects of regularisation of PTA teachers

Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has constituted a committee under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary to examine all relevant aspects including legal issues on regularisation of PTA teachers. Committee will have to submit its recommendation within three months.

Cabinet meeting, which was convened under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, has decided to maintain the status-quo as on 30/10/2007. About 15000 PTA teachers were appointed during Virbhadra Singh’s previous tenure. However, in present scenario, just 6000 PTA teachers are rendering their services in various Govt schools across the state.
