True act of barbarism by land mafia in Kullu village, shocks people all over the state

This shocking incident took place at Mohal village about seven KM from Kullu city. The heated argument happened over the land dispute when three accused Niraj Gupta, Ravinder Negi and Ranjay Negi (visibly shown in the video) tried to fence the land of Bawa Pasricha residents of Akhara Bazzar Kullu and while resorting to it Ranjay Negi brutally attacked Bawa Pasricha’s manager Roshan Lal with his sharp edged weapon on his head.

Bhuntar police has registered the case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) 447,323, 506, 34 sections, and police arrested Ravinder Negi and Ranjay Negi, however third accused Niraj Gupta has surrendered in the local court.

In the FIR, victim Roshan Lal’s wound has been described as minor and Dr. Ranjit Thakur, who had examined him, declared that victim’s wounds were light; however victim was unconscious that time, as the victim exclaimed on phone. Victim Roshan Lal also said that he is scared and worried for his family due to this barbaric act. It is surprising that attempt to murder was not registered against the culprits and you can clearly see from the video how this whole story unfolded.

For the kind attention of all visitors of this page we wish to clarify that Video that was put on our page was given after the registration of FIR.So section under which FIR was register were as per the information content and the type of injury received by the victim. After receiving the video we try to take the legal opinion but it got delayed. And we are still awaiting the opinion! But prima facie it seems it may fall under the ambit of section 307 IPC. So Police has added this section in addition to previous sections.
